accepting it as it is

I've heard so many stories about the University, i should say
It is not all about fun as some people think
It requires so much discipline
so so sooo much of that
I guess i have to start accepting some things
Like........
well i can't believe a lecturer can just tell you " I'm gonna trail half of this class"
OMG
This is our life our future, our dream that we've had for so long and have spent sleepless nights working for.
what are we supposed to tell our parents, more importantly ourselves?
I really dunno what to say,
I've just come to the realisation that what you want is not exactly what someone else would want.

it's about time that we realised that education is far beyond schooling like some stooge's continue to make it look like...

it' about time that we make teachers fully aware of their responsibilities in the whole equation of 'success' (i want to call it human resource dev.) which has only been reduced to examinations that make some teachers (some think the word lecturer places them above others...let them take it) turn themselves into nonsensical gods over people's lives!

stay strong gal...the world is just not fair...but stay strong...

and you know...

that lecturer who made that comment should straight away have been hauled before some board by now to answer questions: that rubbish comment is that!

i've heard it personally before...this prof just walks into our first lecture and declares: "you are too many, some of you MUST go!"

it's just plain no brainer foolish...

Hey there!
I am glad that I came across your blog!

Professors often say things like that in order to cause the students to take the class seriously and to strive to succeed.

Don't be discouraged!

You are there for a reason - a divine purpose!

I am in the U.S. and will be coming to Accra in November to serve the Lord and to start a nonprofit that will address the needs of women and children in Ghana! There are MANY U.S.-based organizations in Ghana that have done so much and I know that there is more that can be done!

Thank you for this blog!

I look forward to visiting again!
